Playground at Bethel

This weekend we went to Bowman to build a playground at Bethel United Methodist, our family church! The playground is in memory of Katie's grandparents, Gus and Renie Davis.

Here is what Katie shared at the playground dedication on Sunday:

I am the oldest granddaughter of Gus & Renie Davis. If you knew my grandparents you knew two things for sure, one they loved this church and two they loved children. They especially enjoyed the fellowship of this church and always welcomed the opportunity to gather in the Lord's name and of course have a meal with friends & family. Their love of children is evident in the large family they raised that now extends to a forth generation. This forth generation, Davis, Maggie, Carter and Harper are very excited about our latest project. As a tribute to our parents and grandparents, Gus & Renie Davis our family is excited to present this new playground, which as Aunt Mary demonstrated yesterday is for ALL generations to enjoy. As you take time to enjoy the new playground you will notice the new shade tree and stone bench with the following inscription from the book of Mark: Let the children come to me, do not hinder them. For to such belongs the Kingdom of God.
